Welcome to the Leeds Homes Website.

We advertise Leeds City Council, participating housing association and some Leeds Rental Standard (LRS) private rented homes. Properties that are available for rent are revised each week. To use this site to pace bids you will need to have an application form registered and to login at the top of this page.
You can contact us on (0113) 222 4413

If you prefer you can register your bids using our 24 hour automated telephone service using the above number. Please make sure you have your membership number, date of birth and property reference numbers available before calling. This site is updated every Wednesday (except some bank holiday periods)

In order to maximise your chances of being rehoused please remember:

  • You can bid on up to 3 properties every week including housing association properties
  • Only bid on the size and type of property that matches your requirements
  • Check the property advert for details of any additional lettings criteria such as local lettings policies
You do not have to bid every week. Only bid for properties that are suitable for your household and are in an area you would want to live in if successful.

Unfortunately we have high demand for our homes which means even in a priority band you are likely to have to wait to be offered a property with us.

Currently, we have 22,000 applicants on the housing register and we only allocate 4,500 homes each year.

There are approximately 3,900 applicants in Band A; 1,500 in Band B and 15,900 in Band C. We have an average of 112 applicants bidding on each property.

Your waiting time to be rehoused will depend on the size and type of property you are bidding on, and your area of choice. For information about your likely waiting time check our Social Housing Picker here.

If you are being considered for a property you may wait up to 4 - 6 weeks after it’s been advertised to be made an offer. This is because we advertise our homes during the outgoing tenant’s notice period and while repairs are being completed, and sometimes other people higher up the shortlist may refuse an offer.

It is essential that the information we hold about your application for housing is up to date to ensure that you don’t miss out on a potential offer. If you wish to notify us of any changes to your application please use the ‘Update Application’ tab at the side of this page.
